Over the past week, we've been watching Hamlet. We've learned about how the death of a loved one and revenge can change a person and drive them insane. After Hamlet's father died Hamlet pretended to go crazy all for revenge on behalf of his father. But after a while you can't tell if he's pretending anymore or actually crazy. So crazy he actually killed his girlfriends father. This death of Ophelia's and losing Hamlet as he went to England drove her insane. Then when Ophelia's brother lost his sister and father he seems to start going insane. It's tragic that everyone seems to be dying and going insane but that's what happens when you really love someone I guess.
This was a more creative week, we learned about what others think but how it all relates to the same thing. We saw these two (possible photo-shopped) pictures and wrote about what could have happened. We all wrote different stories but they were all kind of similar but all very different at the same time. We also picked out a word, phase, and line from a paper we read and then got in groups and decided which one fit best. Even thought we all picked different words, phrases and lines we all had the same idea. This week we also started to learn about Hamlet. He has an interesting story. I feel bad for him, I feel like he has a lot of emotions all going on at this point in his life that he's about to explode. His family and friends seem to think he's gong crazy but he thinks he's just acting but at what point does acting become reality? I feel like he's going to do something that he's going to regret. I know he's feeling overwhelmed right now but he needs to calm gown and take a step back before anything bad happens.
This week we did a retelling of The Pardoner's Tale on wevideo. It was stranger at first because I've never done anything like that before. I had to learn how to use that site, it was pretty complicated at first but by the end it wasn't that bad. Things like wevideo I'm just not that skilled at, I'm not creative. I can write a paper about The Pardoner's Tale just fine but to have me add pictures and my voice and other little choices you have to make when creating a video are hard for me when it comes more naturally to others. But I just had to work thought it and I finally learned how to put it all together to make a halfway decent video. Of course it would have been better without my voice but all in all. It's no that bad to make a video and i'm glad I learned how. I learned that it's still nerve racking when my video was playing, even worse then when your just presenting. The good part about wevideo is the flow and pacing was right on and it gave the people your presenting too something to watch and listen too.
