Over the past week we finished Hamlet. It was very tragic, it was overkill with all the death (no pun intended). I would definitely say that the one of the main points to Hamlet is that they were so caught up with there drama that the basically forgot about the war going on with England and Denmark. Hamlet was so caught up with revenge and death that he let things get out of control. This also shows how things hardly ever go according to plan. Hamlets plan for revenge, Ophelia's plan to be with Hamlet, the kings plan to the other king kill Hamlet, Ophelia's brothers plan to kill Hamlet, and Gertrude's plan to be with the king. All of these things had a surprise twist, changing how their plans should have worked out. The story of Hamlet just taught us not to loose sight of what's important and to expect the unexpected to happen.
